Terms of Use — Gatherjar
Last updated: 18 October 2026
These terms apply when you use Gatherjar (the “App”): the website at gatherjar.com and the Gatherjar Android app. Gatherjar is made by Cronomz, an independent studio run by one person in Indonesia — “we”, “us”. By using the App you agree to these terms. How we handle data is in the privacy policy.

In short: use Gatherjar to plan things with people you know, keep your host link safe, and don’t post anything illegal or hurtful. Guests never pay. Pro is paid once for a month or a year and never renews by itself; if it doesn’t work for you, ask for a refund within 14 days. Gatherjar keeps track of who paid what, but it never holds or moves money between people.
1. Using Gatherjar
- Anyone can make an event or a bill split, and anyone with its link can answer. You don’t need an account; signing in with Google is optional.
- Keep your host link private. Whoever has an event’s host link can change and delete the event. Guests’ links work the same way for their own answers. If a link is lost or shared by mistake, the host can send a guest a new one, and we can help (section 11).
- If you’re under 18, use Gatherjar with a parent’s or guardian’s permission, and don’t buy Pro without it. Gatherjar is not meant for children under 13.
2. What you put in
What you add (event details, names, messages, photos, places, bills) stays yours. You let us store it and show it to the people in that event, which is what the App is for. You’re responsible for what you add and for having the right to share it, including other people’s names and photos of receipts.
Don’t use Gatherjar to:
- post anything illegal, hateful, sexual, violent or harassing, or that shares someone’s private information without their permission;
- organise anything illegal or dangerous, sell goods or services, or collect money for anything other than sharing costs among the people taking part;
- pretend to be someone else, send spam, or invite people who don’t expect it;
- break, overload, scrape or get around the limits of the App, or use it to build something that competes with it.
Every event page has Report. We may hide or delete content or events, or block someone, when they break these rules, and we may tell the authorities if the law requires it.
3. Meeting people
Gatherjar helps groups plan; it doesn’t organise, check or supervise the events themselves. You decide who to invite and whether to go. We don’t check who people are: a name in an event is only what someone typed. Take the usual care when meeting people, travelling or paying for things, and follow the rules of the places you go.
4. Free and Pro
- Gatherjar is free to use, with the limits shown on the pricing page (for example how many people can join a free event and how long it is kept). Guests never pay.
- Pro is bought for a Google account, for 30 days (monthly) or 365 days (yearly). While it lasts, every event that account hosts has Pro’s extra features. The price is shown before you pay and includes tax where it applies.
- Pro is paid once and never renews by itself. We remind you a few days before it ends. Buying again adds the time on to what you have left. When Pro ends, your events go back to the free limits: what you added stays and can still be changed, but nothing new beyond the limits, and each event is kept as long as a free event.
- Pro for a single event was sold until 17 October 2026. Events that have it keep it.
- During early access, every event has Pro’s features for free. Pro you buy during early access starts on the day you buy it.
- We may change prices and what Pro includes for new purchases. Time you have already paid for keeps the price you paid.
5. Paying
Payments are handled by payment providers, under their own terms: Midtrans (QRIS, GoPay and ShopeePay), Polar (cards, in US dollars; Polar is the seller of record for those purchases and handles the receipt and any sales tax or VAT) and, in the Android app, Google Play. We never see or store your card, bank or e-wallet details. Pro turns on once the provider confirms the payment, usually within seconds.
6. Refunds
- Within 14 days of buying, if Pro didn’t work for you, email support@gatherjar.com from the Google account you bought it with, and we refund it in full.
- Purchases made in the Android app can also be refunded through Google Play, under Google Play’s refund rules.
- A refund takes the bought time off the account again. A payment reversed through your bank or card (a chargeback) does the same.
- Your rights under Indonesian consumer protection law are not affected.
7. Bills and paying each other back
Gatherjar works out who owes whom from the bills people add, and records payments that people mark as made. It never holds, sends or receives money between people: you pay each other directly, outside the App. Amounts depend on what people enter; exchange rates for other currencies are estimates. Check the numbers, and settle disagreements with the people involved. We can’t recover money paid to the wrong person.
8. AI helpers and outside information
Some features use Claude (by Anthropic) to suggest things: filling in a form, reading a receipt or a ticket, finding places in a post, sorting places by city, planning a trip. Place details, maps and opening hours come from Google. These can be wrong or out of date. They are suggestions; check them before you rely on them, especially prices, times and opening hours.
9. The App itself
We work to keep Gatherjar running and your events safe, but it is provided “as is”: it may sometimes be unavailable, change, or have mistakes. We may change or remove features. Old events are deleted on the schedule in the privacy policy (section 7). Download what you want to keep, such as the guest list.
To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for losses caused by using or not being able to use the App, by what other people do or add, or by events themselves; and if we are responsible, it is limited to what you paid us for Pro in the 12 months before. Nothing in these terms limits anything the law doesn’t allow us to limit.
10. Stopping
You can stop using Gatherjar at any time and delete your events and account (see the privacy policy). We may suspend or end access for someone who breaks these terms; if that happens to someone with Pro for a reason other than breaking them, we refund the unused time.
11. Law, changes and contact
- These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. If there’s a problem, write to us first and we’ll try to sort it out; otherwise it goes to the competent courts in Indonesia.
- We may update these terms. The date at the top changes, and for changes that matter to you we say so in the App before they apply. Using the App after that means you accept the new terms.
