Terms of Use — Gatherjar

Last updated: 18 October 2026

These terms apply when you use Gatherjar (the “App”): the website at gatherjar.com and the Gatherjar Android app. Gatherjar is made by Cronomz, an independent studio run by one person in Indonesia — “we”, “us”. By using the App you agree to these terms. How we handle data is in the privacy policy.

In short: use Gatherjar to plan things with people you know, keep your host link safe, and don’t post anything illegal or hurtful. Guests never pay. Pro is paid once for a month or a year and never renews by itself; if it doesn’t work for you, ask for a refund within 14 days. Gatherjar keeps track of who paid what, but it never holds or moves money between people.

1. Using Gatherjar

2. What you put in

What you add (event details, names, messages, photos, places, bills) stays yours. You let us store it and show it to the people in that event, which is what the App is for. You’re responsible for what you add and for having the right to share it, including other people’s names and photos of receipts.

Don’t use Gatherjar to:

Every event page has Report. We may hide or delete content or events, or block someone, when they break these rules, and we may tell the authorities if the law requires it.

3. Meeting people

Gatherjar helps groups plan; it doesn’t organise, check or supervise the events themselves. You decide who to invite and whether to go. We don’t check who people are: a name in an event is only what someone typed. Take the usual care when meeting people, travelling or paying for things, and follow the rules of the places you go.

4. Free and Pro

5. Paying

Payments are handled by payment providers, under their own terms: Midtrans (QRIS, GoPay and ShopeePay), Polar (cards, in US dollars; Polar is the seller of record for those purchases and handles the receipt and any sales tax or VAT) and, in the Android app, Google Play. We never see or store your card, bank or e-wallet details. Pro turns on once the provider confirms the payment, usually within seconds.

6. Refunds

7. Bills and paying each other back

Gatherjar works out who owes whom from the bills people add, and records payments that people mark as made. It never holds, sends or receives money between people: you pay each other directly, outside the App. Amounts depend on what people enter; exchange rates for other currencies are estimates. Check the numbers, and settle disagreements with the people involved. We can’t recover money paid to the wrong person.

8. AI helpers and outside information

Some features use Claude (by Anthropic) to suggest things: filling in a form, reading a receipt or a ticket, finding places in a post, sorting places by city, planning a trip. Place details, maps and opening hours come from Google. These can be wrong or out of date. They are suggestions; check them before you rely on them, especially prices, times and opening hours.

9. The App itself

We work to keep Gatherjar running and your events safe, but it is provided “as is”: it may sometimes be unavailable, change, or have mistakes. We may change or remove features. Old events are deleted on the schedule in the privacy policy (section 7). Download what you want to keep, such as the guest list.

To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for losses caused by using or not being able to use the App, by what other people do or add, or by events themselves; and if we are responsible, it is limited to what you paid us for Pro in the 12 months before. Nothing in these terms limits anything the law doesn’t allow us to limit.

10. Stopping

You can stop using Gatherjar at any time and delete your events and account (see the privacy policy). We may suspend or end access for someone who breaks these terms; if that happens to someone with Pro for a reason other than breaking them, we refund the unused time.
